ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson announced via Instagram his plans to return after recovering from a shoulder injury sustained against Michigan on November 2.

Johnson’s return is crucial for quarterback Dillon Gabriel, as he has been one of Oregon’s top offensive threats. In 2023, Johnson recorded 1,182 receiving yards, and this season, he has already amassed 649 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games, according to Sports Reference.

Johnson is fortunate to have some more time to heal from his shoulder injury because Oregon football will be taking a week off this coming week before playing Washington in the last regular season game on November 30. After Johnson missed time, it would be crucial for Oregon to bring him back into the offense. After struggling in a 16–13 victory against Wisconsin, he will assist Oregon maximize offensive opportunities going into the postseason.

Oregon football wants to finish the season unblemished.

Oregon football is now the top team in the nation with an overall record of 11-0. The Ducks would lead the Big Ten going into the conference championship game if they defeated Washington. It should be an excellent test before the College Football Playoffs, and they might play Penn State, Ohio State, or Indiana.

Last season, Oregon suffered two losses to Washington: one in the Pac-12 championship game and one during the regular season. The Ducks may have qualified for the College Football Playoffs if one of the two games had turned out differently. Both were tight losses. It would be excellent for Oregon and their supporters to exact some retribution by defeating Washington in the regular season finale, because Washington isn’t nearly as talented this season. Three Signings for the Soccer Program.

Eugene, Oregon One of the best local players has been signed by the Oregon soccer program to an athletic scholarship deal to play for the Ducks for the second consecutive year.

Three incoming student-athletes will play for the Ducks next year, including Alexis Cockerill-Gonzales, an all-state player for Sheldon High School in Eugene.

Cockerill-Gonzalez is part of the Ducks’ 2024 class, which also includes defender Samantha Neumeier from La Crescenta, California, and forward Camille Brophy from San Clemente, California.

Cloe Chase, a native of Springfield, Oregon, was signed by the Ducks last fall. He was one of the top prep goal scorers in state history for Marist High School and started 17 games for the Ducks as a freshman in 2024.

Brophy first won the South Coast League title at San Clemente High School, and then she guided her team to the CIF Division 1 quarterfinals in 2023. During her junior year, she was named to the all-CIF Division 4 first team and was the Rio Hondo offensive most valuable player. was La Cañada’s top goal scorer in her junior year. She was selected to the Southwest Conference All-League ECNL first team while playing for her club, LAFC SoCal Youth Soccer. Mother Angie Neumeier attended Nevada to play basketball. Her high school coach was her father, Kevin Neumeier.
