The Kansas City Chiefs’ road journey to greatness will continue on Sunday when they play the Buffalo Bills in Week 11. Since they have faced off against each other in the regular playoffs and postseason in previous years, the AFC powerhouses have developed a fierce rivalry, and it is likely that this weekend’s Chiefs vs. Bills game will be no exception.
The Chiefs cannot afford to undervalue the Bills, despite being the last club in the NFL to go undefeated. Head coach Sean McDermott has a squad that can compete with any club in the league since Buffalo has plenty of playmakers on both sides of the ball.
Even though the Bills won’t lose easily this weekend, it might be simpler to defeat them in light of the team’s most recent injury reports.
Chiefs Injury News: Keon Coleman Will Not Play in Week 11 for the Bills
Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic revealed Monday night that Keon Coleman, a wide receiver for the Bills, will miss Week 11 against the Chiefs because of a wrist injury. With 22 receptions, 417 receiving yards, and a team-high three touchdown catches in nine games, the rookie wide receiver has been an integral member of Buffalo’s attack.
There is more positive news for Chiefs supporters than Coleman’s impending absence. Buscaglia also mentioned that tight end Dalton Kincaid’s status is uncertain following a knee injury sustained during the Week 10 victory against the Indianapolis Colts, while Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper is still limited by a wrist ailment.
All season long, opponents have found it difficult to contain the Bills’ attack, which averages 29.0 points per game (3rd). However, if Cooper and/or Kincaid end up joining Coleman on the bench this weekend, their attack will become easier to control.
The Chiefs have a 4-3 record in their previous seven encounters with the Bills since Patrick Mahomes became the starting quarterback in 2018. Three of those games took place in the postseason, including the AFC Division Round, where Kansas City defeated Buffalo 27–24 before winning Super Bowl LVIII three weeks later.
Playing in enemy territory isn’t always a negative thing, even though the Chiefs are the road team this week. Kansas City has gone 4-0 with an average scoring margin of plus-6.5 in their last four trips to Buffalo, and they haven’t lost at Highmark Stadium since September 2012.
If the Chiefs wish to continue that trend, they will have to put forth their best effort. After all, the Bills are presently projected as small 1.5-point favorites by FanDuel Sportsbook ahead of Sunday’s crucial matchup.
