The Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens Thursday night matchup was one of the highlights of the 2024 NFL season, showcasing two of the league’s top quarterbacks, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson.
These elite quarterbacks tend to create thrilling games, and this latest clash was no different, with both giving outstanding performances. Burrow threw for a season-high 428 yards and four touchdowns without any turnovers.
Jackson, meanwhile, scored four touchdowns and 290 passing yards. Additionally, the game’s final score is the most significant statistic, as Jackson’s Ravens won the game 35–34. Jackson and the Ravens defeated Burrow’s Bengals 41-38 in overtime in October, marking the second time this season that they have done it.
Lamar Jackson demonstrates a great deal of regard for Joe Burrow.
Jackson gave Burrow a lot of accolades after the game because it’s obvious that the two appreciate one other.
Jackson commented, “I know he’s a great quarterback over there,” referring to Pitt and the Bengals. “I know it’s always going to be a battle because he’s got that dog in him.”

The rivalry between the two quarterbacks has been quite one-sided, despite Burrow’s best efforts. During the regular season, they have faced off seven times, with Jackson winning six of those games. Jackson missed that game due to an injury, but Burrow and the Bengals defeated the Ravens in the 2022 playoffs’ Wild Card Round. Jackson’s career record versus Cincinnati is 10-2 overall.
Burrow won’t have a chance to exact revenge on Jackson and the Ravens until the next season, unless the two teams compete in the playoffs this year, which seems unlikely given Cincinnati’s present ranking.
