In their Week 3 encounter, the Chicago Bears aim to recover from their hard 19-13 loss to the Houston Texans. Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams, two rookies, had a difficult time running the Bears’ offense. When retired NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky made a statement on the state of Chicago’s passing game, Odunze’s father responded.
Dan Orlovsky, like many others who saw the Bears’ opening two games, sees where Chicago is having trouble. In a social media post on Wednesday, he detailed the necessary corrections for Rome Odunze, Caleb Williams, and the remainder of the offense:
The Bears and Caleb will need to become accustomed to provide Rome with more “covered” opportunities. Orlovsky wrote on X (previously Twitter) that “Rome isn’t getting open at this level right now—Caleb will have to get comfortable throwing him some 50/50 balls.”
Several admirers, including James, the father of Rome Odunze, found Orlovsky’s remarks offensive. A video showing his son finding space in the end zone during the Bears’ Week 1 game against the Tennessee Titans was shared by Odunze. Over 5.5 million people watched the video. Although Odunze emphasized that the video was a response to Orlvosky’s “nonsense statement,” many believed he was making a jab at Caleb Williams.
To be clear, this tweet was only about the absurd assertion made by Dan Orlovsky. Nothing or anybody else is relevant. James Odunze wrote on X, “FULL STOP.”
Despite their lackluster performances in the first two weeks of the season, Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams, along with the Bears, still have plenty of time to develop. When talking about Caleb Williams’ performance, Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud predicted that Williams would probably regain his groove in Weeks Three or Four.
On Sunday, the Bears will travel to Indianapolis to play the Colts. Maybe Williams, Odunze, and the offensive line will perform very well and contribute to the team’s victory.
Punching Azeez Al-Shaair on the Bears sideline resulted in a fine.
The sideline punch that Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair delivered during Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears will cost him.
The NFL penalized Al-Shaair more than $11,000 for punching Bears running back Roschon Johnson. During the game, no flag was raised for the play.

The whole thing started when Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was struck hard by Al-Shaair close to the sideline, upsetting the players. This is what happened when Al-Shaair interacted with the Bears sideline.
Al-Shaair can probably cope with this, as he didn’t get flagged throughout the play. The Bears won’t be pleased, but this wasn’t the only problem they had on their sideline on Sunday.
