The Detroit Lions have had a difficult start to the season despite high expectations following what was probably the team’s best season ever. The Lions were one play away from winning the Super Bowl the previous season, but even though they opened the 2024 season with two home games, they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and were forced into OT by the injured Los Angeles Rams.
Though it’s a new age, that’s by no means the worst start Lions fans have had. The Lions are expected to continue improving, in part because of head coach Dan Campbell’s efforts, who in his third season with Detroit has led the team from three wins in his first season to 12 wins, an unprecedented NFC North Division title, and two much-needed playoff victories.
Because of his demeanor and style of play, Campbell has gained a lot of favor with Detroit supporters, who see him as a wonderful fit for the team’s identity. But now that the group has encountered difficulty, their leader is not immune to criticism.

Following Detroit’s opening-day defeat this season, it appears that Lions supporters have located Campbell’s house. Despite the coach’s apparent resilience in the face of criticism from rivals, supporters, and the media, his family’s safety is seriously jeopardized. Given that he and his spouse, Holly, have two kids, Campbell places the welfare of their kids above other team responsibilities.
Because of this, the Campbell family is leaving their first Detoit residence behind out of prudence. The coach acknowledged that it’s unavoidable but expressed grief at losing what seems to be a really good home for their family. It’s unfortunate that Campbell and his family may need to do this kind of search again, since it may be difficult for them to remain anonymous in the Detroit region given their increased degree of celebrity since moving there a few years ago.
The Lions’ upcoming schedule is intriguing: after playing predicted bottom-dwelling teams for the first two weeks, they will finally go on the road to play the Arizona Cardinals, a team that has been up and down. After that, they will host the Seattle Seahawks, who are 2-0, and travel to play the talented Dallas Cowboys team. We’ll wait and see how the team plays, as well as how the supporters may react to Campbell.

An NFL season ticket holder claims she was made to take off her “Make America Great Again” hat in order to go into State Farm Stadium for the team’s Week 2 match.
Susan Roesner stated in an interview with News 12 Phoenix that she was told by a security guard, referring to the hat, “You can’t bring that in here.”

“No political shirts or hats,” she says. “I haven’t heard that at all,” I responded. And I remarked, “I don’t understand that.” Rosener stated, “And she goes, ‘I said, take your hat off.'”
She went on to explain that she tossed the hat in the trash so she and her husband could attend the game without further issues. “Looking back, I wish I had stood my ground, but I didn’t know what the consequences might be, and my husband would be furious if I did something that risked our season tickets,” she said.

Additionally, Rosener claimed to have spoken with a guest services agent who reaffirmed that MAGA hats are not permitted inside State Farm Stadium when the Arizona Cardinals are playing.
The team said that it had been in contact with the irate fan in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
In a singular instance during the game on Sunday, a stadium security guard misinterpreted a rule about forbidden objects. “Signage, posters, flags, or displays that are… political in nature” are prohibited, just like at most events. That did not, however, apply in this particular case, the statement said.
“Going forward, we’ll strive to make these scenarios clear to every stadium employee. Additionally, we have apologized to the person in question and informed them that their experience did not align with our rules and procedures.
Alyssa Goncales of the right political advocacy group Turning Point Action first made the incident public, claiming that the stadium has seen prior incidents of a similar nature.
Goncales shared multiple screen grabs of text exchanges with alleged attendees who were either made to take off their MAGA hats themselves or saw others being made to do so.

“We’ve only had one person reach out to us. However, it should not have happened either if a few other people had a similar contact. Once more, it’s not our routine, and it doesn’t seem to have happened before in the more than 18 seasons we’ve spent at this stadium.
In response to the further accusations, the team released a second statement to Fox News Digital that said, “Going forward, though, we will work with all of the third party groups that interact with our fans to make sure this abundantly clear.”
“Political hats or shirts” are not on the Cardinals’ prohibited list, despite the fact that they do have one.
