The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins stole the show on “Thursday Night Football” during Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.
The Bills are ahead 31-10 in the third quarter as of this writing. Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, has thrown one touchdown, and James Cook, the running back, has scored three touchdowns and contributed on the ground as well. With just three interceptions, including a pick-six, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins has been effectively limited by the Bills’ defense.
The loss of defensive captain and linebacker Terrel Bernard, who departed the game early due to a pectoral injury, is the sole setback for the Bills going into the second half. Bernard had two tackles before to leaving the game, and the Prime Video broadcast announced shortly after the third quarter started that he would not be playing again.
In the first quarter, Bernard was hurt after a tackle; he left for the locker room and did not come back. The Bills declared his injury later and at first thought his comeback was doubtful, but in the end, he was declared out of the game. Since then, linebacker Baylon Spector has taken his place on defense.
The Bills lost defensive end Casey Toohill as well, and his comeback is uncertain because of a knee injury.
Throughout his NFL career, Bernard has accumulated 176 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, three interceptions, 105 solo tackles, and 71 assisted tackles. It’s unclear how serious his injury is and how long he will be sidelined.
The Bills message from Colin Cowherd proves the Super Bowl.
The Buffalo Bills are once again being discussed in relation to the Super Bowl after winning their opening two games of the season. It’s funny how little people believed in the Bills before the season. With their stunning comeback win in Week 1 and their utterly dominating performance in Week 2, they have now warned the league.
Nobody outside of Bills supporters was giving the rest of the roster credit, with the possible exceptions of Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid. As a team, though, the notice is beginning to occur now. The Bills have demonstrated that, even though they have only played two games, they have what it takes to become an unbeatable team if they keep playing like they have.
Speaking on the Buffalo Bills and their 31-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins, Colin Cowherd of “The Herd” said that they are “the Buffalo Bills that can win a Super Bowl.” Cowherd continued, discussing how the Bills may reach the promised land if they continued to play a particular brand of football.

Having no reliance on Josh Allen places the Buffalo Bills as Super Bowl favorites.
Cowherd talked about how the Bills become even more unique as a club if they can cause some damage without Josh Allen leading the way. Allen was only involved in one of the Bills’ four touchdowns against the Dolphins, despite the fact that the team needed his heroics in Week 1 against the Cardinals.
The Dolphins’ potent offense was thwarted by the defense, and it was the James Cook show in Miami. With the way this Bills squad is playing and the support Allen is receiving each game, Buffalo might surprise everyone come February.
The Bills will now have more than a week to prepare for their first significant test in Week 3. It will be essential for Buffalo to make the most of their home-field advantage as the Jacksonville Jaguars are a team who they might very well face in the playoffs.
As previously stated, the Bills’ primary objective is to go 1-0 every week. Whether the outside noise is nice or harmful, they cannot care about it. After a rapid turnaround week on the road, they must capitalize on the prolonged buildup to Week 3.
