A whopping 11 players have been farewelled by the club as they look to rebuild in 2025.

The Parramatta Eels have confirmed a number of players that will be leaving, so they will look very different in 2025 under new head coach Jason Ryles.

The team said goodbye to eleven players, seven of whom do not officially have a contract for the upcoming season.

The first player on the list is prop forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard, who was officially confirmed as not playing for the Eels in 2025.

Although Campbell-Gillard was anticipated to join the St George Illawarra Dragons for the upcoming season, he has recently been connected to the Brisbane Broncos.

With Ethan Sanders (Raiders), Matt Arthur (Knights), and Blaize Talagi (Panthers) already confirmed to be joining new teams for the upcoming season, the team has also lost a plethora of youthful talent.

In 2025, outside back Zach Cini of the Wests Tigers junior will also join a new team, moving to England to further his career.

The team also bid farewell to Morgan Harper, Ofahiki Ogden, Daejarn Asi, Makahesi Makatoa, and members of the extended squad, Isaac Lumelume and Lorenzo Mulitalo.

This season, Asi made 14 appearances for the team, standing in for the injured Mitchell Moses.

Although the Eels have been connected to Tom Weaver and Dean Hawkins in recent weeks, it is still unknown who will be the team’s backup half in 2025 given the losses of both Asi and Sanders.

In addition to losing Campbell-Gillard, the Eels have said goodbye to some of their engine room leadership, as Ogden and Makatoa will combine for 12 NRL games in 2024.

With the addition of Isaiah Iongi and Zach Lomax, the Eels have added some players for 2025. The influx of these young players has rendered players like Harper, Lumelume, and Mulitalo unnecessary for the team’s requirements.
