The New England Patriots entered the offseason intending to start over after the 2023 NFL season ended with just four wins. They decided to cut ways with famous head coach Bill Belichick and select a rookie quarterback with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

In the end, the organization made the choice to select Drake Maye, a University of North Carolina standout, with their first-round draft decision. The legendary franchise believes Maye will be the team’s starting quarterback in New England.

But the team decided to start 2024 with Maye as their backup quarterback in place of seasoned veteran Jacoby Brissett. That decision may have already started to pay off, as Maye was able to lead the team to an amazing upset victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 at Paycor Stadium on the road.

Nobody thought the club would defeat a real Super Bowl contender in their season opener, but that’s exactly what occurred in Cincinnati, considering everything they had done in the offseason with the seeming goal of rebuilding.

The Patriots made some moves on Tuesday in advance of Week 2 after having a strong start to the season, according to the team’s X account.

Although they won’t have a big impact on the Patriots’ future, the addition of defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy to the practice squad and the release of guard Jerome Carvin aren’t exactly game-changing decisions.

The Patriots will have to defend their home turf in Week 2 against the visiting Seattle Seahawks, so it will be intriguing to see if they can maintain their current level of performance.

Reactions from the Former Patriots Quarterback to Jaylen Brown’s New Song.

Ex-Patriots QB Offers Blunt Review Of Jaylen Brown's Debut Song

“Just Do It,” a song featuring rapper A$AP Ferg, was released by Jaylen Brown last month. On Spotify, the rap song has lately received over 500,000 plays.

The former New England Patriots quarterback and 2015 NFL MVP while playing for the Carolina Panthers, Cam Newton, responded to Brown’s sudden release on a recent episode of 4th&1 with Cam Newton.

“This isn’t meant as a slight; I’m just trying to make a big bucks, bro.” You’re not being consumed by people in that way, according to Newton. “Dame is the best rapper I’ve ever heard who is also an athlete; even as a basketball player, he doesn’t get his fair share of credit.” Although many athletes can rap, numbers are what matter here. They won’t perform any calculations, my friend.

Apart from Newton’s remark, Brown might be releasing new music soon. A wide-eyed emoji was the mysterious response the reigning NBA Finals MVP gave to an Instagram follower who inquired about the release date of his album.
