Rob Gronkowski, a former standout tight end for the New England Patriots, has maintained a prominent media presence since he announced his retirement from football a few seasons ago. Although Gronkowski is regarded as one of the best tight ends of all time, the Patriots legend has also drawn notice for his activities off the field. These activities include numerous endorsement deals, appearances at WWE events, and an all-around endearing demeanor that has won him admirers all over the world.
An appearance on Dancing with the Stars, a program where former NFL players showcase their dancing prowess, is among the few side projects that Gronkowski still hasn’t crossed off his list. But Danny Amendola, Gronkowski’s former colleague with the Patriots, will be competing. Gronkowski recently visited the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams and offered some wise counsel (as well as a few tender barbs) to his old friend.
“Well, Danny Amendola moves those feet very well because he has a high motor, a lot of energy, and he’s tiny,” Gronkowski remarked. “He is more quick than fast since he was a slot person. He used to evade every defender because he was a punt returner. He will be more prepared than everyone else. I believe that reestablishing a daily routine and dancing is a fantastic thing for him.
Then Gronkowski gave Amendola a tongue-in-cheek warning.
“Danny, I don’t care if you win Dancing With The Stars; you will never be able to outdance me on a dance floor. You will never be able to match my level, and I will always give it my all,” Gronkowski declared.
A disproportionately strong personality
Gronkowski putting his skills to the test on Dancing with the Stars would be entertaining to watch.
Because of his extraordinary mobility and dexterity for such a large person, Gronkowski was able to exploit his unique combination of speed, size, and athleticism to regularly exploit opposing defensive backs during his tenure with the Patriots.
Amendola was generally thought to be a lot more nimble player, as Gronkowski mentioned, but it’s unclear if that will be sufficient to give him a win on the show.
This season’s premiere date for Dancing with the Stars is September 17.
Bill Belichick’s girlfriend posts the former Patriots coach’s first Instagram photo.
On Wednesday, Bill Belichick pulled off the unthinkable.
Belichick frequently made fun of social media during his long career as the New England Patriots’ head coach. But in his first season away from Foxboro, Massachusetts, Belichick was faced with a plethora of media duties, so he unexpectedly made the decision to sign up for Instagram before the 2024 NFL season.
Jordan Hudson, the eight-time Super Bowl champion’s fiancée, posted a reactionary picture of Belichick cuddling a goat at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in response to the football player’s debut on the well-known site.
“This is my official request that @BillBelichick use @ BillyGoat instead of his handle!!!” Billy, welcome to the ‘Gram!!!!”
In the post’s comments section, the future Pro Football Hall of Fame coach thanked the 23-year-old former cheerleader for “the warm reception.”
As of Thursday morning, Belichick followed twelve accounts on Instagram, including Hudson. Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and fellow Patriots legend Tom Brady were among the others.
