Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, is primed for the start of the NFL season. He made some audacious statements about his feelings about it after addressing the media on Wednesday.

The Bengals play the New England Patriots at home on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Burrow has finally had a proper training camp. He has had injuries and various setbacks over the years, such as COVID-19 in 2020, which have interfered with his offseason practice.

But as of right now, Burrow is in incredible shape, had a wonderful training camp, and in his lone preseason game, he marched the club down the field for an easy score. He also exudes a great deal of confidence. “Best I’ve felt going into week one since my rookie season.” stated Burrow.

Burrow also took a moment to talk about his overall skill set, highlighting what he believes to be one of his “underrated” abilities: throwing on the move.

“I believe this aspect of my game is often overlooked and is something that truly sets me apart.”

Joe Burrow was unquestionably one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL during his two healthy seasons, helping the Bengals win back-to-back AFC Championships and make one trip to the Super Bowl.

Burrow has passed for 14,083 yards, 97 touchdowns, 37 interceptions, a 68.0 completion percentage, and a 98.6 passer rating in his five seasons in the NFL.

Joe Burrow Talks About Ja’Marr Chase’s Contract Situation Before the Patriots’ Week 1 Match.

Cincinnati: Joe Burrow hopes that Ja’Marr Chase stays out of the lineup for a long time because he hasn’t had to play many games without him this decade. After catching passes in the open individual drills, the Bengals quarterback talked about Chase’s current practice and the ongoing drama surrounding his contract on Wednesday.

Even though he is unsure about Chase’s playing status for Sunday’s game against New England, Burrow is providing his teammate with unwavering support throughout this process. He is not in any way “getting involved” in the negotiations.

Burrow said, “I would say that’s true,” when asked about having different game plans for different scenarios on Sunday. “We’ll see how things work out in the end. But we’re ready for everything that may come up.”

Throughout this whole period, the two have been coordinating their schedules and meeting together away from the press. Burrow is working hard on that because there isn’t much time left for further repetitions.

Burrow responded, “That’s hard to say,” when asked if Wednesday’s practice was the longest thus yet. “During the off-season, training camp, and the past several weeks, we have worked days. Thus, we have the necessary work.”

Joe Burrow Discusses Ja'Marr Chase Contract Situation Entering Week 1 Game

The only elite wide receiver left that isn’t signed to a contract going into the season is Chase.

Perhaps Chase will do the same this year after the Bengals’ star quarterback finished strong in the preseason. Although Burrow’s days of intense contract negotiations were numbered, the agreement was completed.

“Yeah, we’ve had those discussions on how it went for me,” Burrow remarked. How similar—and how unlike—it has been. Thus, we’ve had those conversations.

On Sunday, the action begins at 1 p.m. ET with Cincinnati.
