The 2024 college football season is here, and Will Howard will be the starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Howard, who spent four seasons with Kansas State, will be hoping to help the Buckeyes advance this year, and with their potent offense, he will have plenty of resources at his disposal. Some people believe Howard is among the top Heisman Trophy candidates for the 2017 season because of how good Ohio State’s offense is. But if you ask Urban Meyer, he thinks Howard’s chances of winning the prize might be harmed by all the brilliance around him.
Ohio State will be one of, if not, THE best offense in the country, but will that put Will Howard in contention for the Heisman Trophy?@Wendys #WendysPartner pic.twitter.com/nUpG2BTdSL

Meyer accurately points out that while having a strong team obviously helps your Heisman candidacy, you still need to put up impressive stats to be taken into consideration. Meyer is therefore concerned about whether Howard will have to give up too much work to his running backs in order to achieve Heisman-caliber production. It’s a legitimate question, and although we will soon find out if Howard has a genuine chance to win the Heisman, Meyer doesn’t seem to be overly confident in his chances of doing so coming into the season.
Ryan Day of Ohio State football responds hilariously to Connor Stalions’ doc query.
Ryan Day, the football coach at Ohio State, is opposed to watching the most recent Netflix documentary about Connor Stalions. The subject of the NCAA’s investigation of sign-stealing at the university is Stalions, a former football analyst for Michigan. A reporter questioned Day on Tuesday about whether or not he intended to watch the documentary.
Day replied, “No,” according to Eleven Warriors. The reporters in attendance laughed at the caustic reply.
In the previous few seasons, under Jim Harbaugh’s direction, Day and the Buckeyes were defeated by Michigan. After winning the 2023 College Football Playoff, Harbaugh departed the institution. Now, the coach is in charge of the Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL. The rivalries between Ohio State and Michigan are renowned for being among the fiercest in college football.
During Harbaugh’s tenure as coach, Michigan football is accused of stealing signs from other universities. The NCAA could impose fines on the institution, which would suspend Sherrone Moore, the head coach at the moment. Since the investigation began, Stalions has left Michigan.
This season, Ohio State football is the favorite to win the Big Ten.
To be honest, even if Coach Day wanted to, he is too busy to watch the Stalions documentary on TV. With Jim Harbaugh leaving Ann Arbor, Ohio State football is under intense pressure to win the Big Ten this year. Due to their inability to overcome Michigan, the Buckeyes have missed the CFP the past three seasons. That needs to alter for this season.
All over, Ohio State football has a lot of skill. It says a lot that former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer believes this to be the best Ohio State squad he has ever seen. Day, in particular, and the Buckeyes are also seeking their own form of vengeance. Last year, while Harbaugh was on a self-imposed ban, Michigan overcame Ohio State. Moore guided the Wolverines to a victory over Ohio State while serving as the team’s temporary head coach.
This season, Ohio State and Michigan play in Columbus on November 30. Maybe Day will have time to sit down and watch the documentary after that.
