It’s not unusual to see the most accomplished gymnast in Olympic history, Simone Biles, at a Chicago Bears game since she stands in for NFL safety Jonathan Owens. The issue is that his outfit selection has drawn interest from followers for an odd reason.

Biles recently generated controversy on social media when she showed up to Owens’ Chicago Bears game wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket. Attending the preseason game between the Bengals and Bears, the gymnast, who recently returned from the 2024 Summer Olympics with gold medals and record-breaking feats, showed her support for her husband’s new team.

She chose to wear a Packers jacket, which upset some football fans because the two teams have a bitter rivalry that dates back to 1921. Fans of the Packers were upset with Biles’ attire since the jacket had pictures of Owens from his time playing for the Wisconsin Badgers.

While many fans were quick to condemn her, others gently urged her to support her husband’s new team by switching to Bears apparel. An Instagram user even proposed that Biles may have a personalized Bears jacket made by Kristin Juszczyk, the designer and wife of San Francisco 49ers star Kyle Juszczyk.

Chicago Bears Fans Take Notice of Olympic Gymnast Simone Biles’ Bear Down Post

Biles recently shared the outfit on her official Instagram account. Following that, supporters discovered that Owens was in it while he was a member of the Packers, which coincided with the ‘bear down’ caption she shared.

Fans have enjoyed Biles and Owens’ relationship since they have encouraged each other’s aspirations. Though he had to return to the Bears training camp and missed part of Biles’s subsequent individual finals, Owens even took a plane to the Olympics in Paris to watch her win gold.

Biles posted pictures of her game-day ensemble, which comprised a jumpsuit, a Prada bucket hat, and her trademark diamond-encrusted goat necklace, despite the criticism. She seemed unconcerned. Fans have continued to criticize the gymnast for the jacket she wore, and she has not yet responded to them.

Crucial reinforcement for the struggling Bears offensive line.

The Chicago Bears are feeling quite well as the 2024 NFL season approaches. Rome Odunze has shown glimpses of being a top receiver, Caleb Williams appears to be a potential star, and the defense is a lot better than it was a year ago. Fans of the Bears are more optimistic now than they were before the season began.

Struggling Bears Offensive Line Gets Key Reinforcement

This does not imply that there aren’t any unanswered questions. There is a great deal of uncertainty around the offensive line. Nate Davis’s starting position is in doubt because he has missed yet another training camp. It’s unclear what function centers Ryan Bates and Coleman Shelton, who were added by the team in the offseason, will play.

One offensive line guy is left out in the middle of everything. The Bears’ third-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, Kiran Amegadjie, has been recovering from a quad injury and has been placed on the non-football injury list.

The Yale offensive tackle rookie has been activated and cleared to practice, according to Courtney Cronin.

Bears News: Kiran Amegadjie, Third-Round Pick, Activated

In April, Amegadjie was selected 75th overall. The six-foot-five lineman, who was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, was looking to start playing right away as a rookie. Although he has played left guard and left tackle in college, the Bears already have Teven Jenkins and Braxton Jones locked down as starters at those positions.

On the other side of the offensive line, the 22-year-old might have a greater chance of making an impact right now. Darnell Wright, a former first-round selection, is undoubtedly certain to be among the starting five on the offensive line, but if Nate Davis keeps having availability issues, Amegadjie might finally make his way in there.
