CeeDee Lamb, a talented receiver for the Dallas Cowboys who is dissatisfied with his current circumstances, may be considering a trade with the New England Patriots.

Lamb and the Cowboys have been engaged in a heated discussion about an extension. Due to his holdout, Lamb has missed every training camp and two preseason games. The 2020 first-round selection is hoping to sign a contract that will enable him to compete with the league’s best receivers.

At $35 million per season, Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson holds the record as the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. According to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Lamb would want to avoid that figure and recently rejected a contract from Dallas that would have paid him close to $33 million a season.

Earlier in the offseason, the Patriots were mentioned in relation to a trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The organization was reportedly prepared to give him almost $30 million a season if they were able to get him through a trade. At 25, Lamb is starting to reach his peak and is a far more established commodity.

Jerod Mayo, the first-year head coach of the Patriots, was questioned on Monday, August 19, during his interview on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” regarding a possible trade for Lamb.

Mayo stated, “You can put in a call in, but you can’t talk about players on other teams.”

Eliot Wolf, the executive vice president of player personnel for the Patriots, has declared that the team will keep an eye on the wide receiver market.

According to NESN, Wolf stated, “We make calls on all positions and on all players that we think might be able to help us.” “There are times when it’s just an attempt to learn what other teams are thinking about their own roster by gathering information from them.”

Cowboys Have Put an End to Trade Rumors About CeeDee Lamb

I was aware that Wes Welker would give every play he called his all, regardless of whether he was given the opportunity or not. I never gave it a second thought as to whether or not he would act morally. That clears my head so I can focus on my work, which is not an easy task.

Tom Brady refused to pass to some receivers.

Brady was patient with spot-on receivers but was not as patient with individuals like Welker on the Patriots. When he observed a receiver not meeting the Brady criteria, he claimed to have a straightforward method.
