Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports reports that Everton has submitted a £24 million proposal for Barcelona forward Vitor Roque.
After keeping the team in the Premier League last season despite an eight-point deduction, Sean Dyche is hoping to avoid another relegation battle, thus the Toffees are eager to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer deadline.
The Blues are considering their options because the futures of attackers Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are unclear, and the Brazilian star has surfaced as a possible candidate.

Barcelona reject offer but set asking price
The teenager’s future at Camp Nou is now in doubt, and Everton is reportedly still exploring a move for him, according to Sky Sports journalist Plettenberg via his personal X account.
Barcelona informed Everton that they would prefer to pay between €30 and €35 million to allow the 19-year-old to leave the team after rejecting the initial offer, which was worth €25 million plus an additional €3 million in add-ons.
The La Liga giants are eager to let Roque move on despite making a significant investment to recruit him from Brazil last season, even if he presently occupies a far lower position on Hansi Flick’s team. Sporting director Deco is still in negotiations with the Goodison Park team regarding a transaction.

Coming from Atletico Paranaense, Roque had a great reputation as Brazil’s next big thing; scout Jacek Kulig called the forward “truly magnificent” despite his advanced age. However, he hasn’t found success at Camp Nou, and it now appears that he may go.
Everton has already added Iliman Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrom to their roster from Marseille and Napoli, respectively, and re-signed Jack Harrison on a loan from Leeds United.
