Center Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat is prepared to go home from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris with a gold medal around his neck and a ton of unforgettable experiences.
Adebayo’s Instagram story, which went viral, showed him catching teammate Kevin Durant dozing off on the team bus. This was one of the publicized incidents. Social media users were enthused by the photo and wanted to know the Phoenix Suns forward’s response.
Adebayo expressed his comedic intentions with the image, though he’s not sure what Durant thinks of it yet.
“At this point, I’m unsure. Regardless, I’m going to repost it,” Adebayo declared to Overtime. I don’t give a damn; whatever. We resemble a huge AAU squad.”
In response to the question of whether squad USA was the most enjoyable squad he had ever played on, Adebayo said, “Ah man, I will say this is one of the most experienced and gifted teams that I’ve been on.”
Probably the best Team USA has ever had, led by Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Durant, is on this squad. Some would contend for the “Dream Team” of 1992 or the “Redeem Team” of 2008, but given the Heat center’s importance in 2024, there is no doubt about it.
Adebayo was a key member of the second unit early in the summer, but coach Steve Kerr decided later in the tournament to depend on the seasoned superstars.

Legend of the Miami Heat Dwyane Wade believes Victor Wembanyama will be the NBA’s future.
Many, including Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, envision San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama dominating the NBA in a matter of years.
Wade was there on Saturday to witness Wembanyama flourish against a strong Team USA lineup. With 11 of 19 shots, he finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, but France was just unable to win the gold. Wembanyama’s young age of 20 is concerning for the rest of the league.
“What your eyes see is what your eyes should believe,” Wade stated. “You couldn’t tell a lot about this individual based only on his points. To truly appreciate what he contributes to his team on the court, you must see him play basketball.”
Wade is correct. There is essentially no skill difference between the US and other countries. Former Houston Rockets guard James Harden was the final MVP to be born in the United States in 2018. Since then, the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid have won the championship.
In the upcoming years, supporters could anticipate even greater international exposure for rising superstars Luka Doncic and Wembanyama.
“That’s him,” Wade remarked. “We’re going to continue to watch a lot of Wemby for a long time to come.”
WADE GRATTS LEBRON
Following Team USA’s triumph over France in the gold medal game on Saturday, Wade showed excessive admiration for his close friend LeBron James.
Wade stated that James’ ability to dominate at this point in his career still astounds him.
According to Wade, “He can do everything on the floor,” the NBC program noted. “He is capable of 30. He is capable of 15 rebounds. He is capable of everything. I believe that what makes him so unique is his unwavering will to excel and the effort he puts forth. It is the routine. He is a leader and the type of person that arrives first and leaves last.”
