Miami Heat supporters are upset that the 28-year-old has signed a $3.3 million contract with the Phoenix Suns.

This offseason has left the majority of Miami Heat fans frustrated and skeptical about the team’s chances next season, with the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers all appearing substantially stronger.

There were some good reports early in the offseason, with the Heat linked to players such as Donovan Mitchell and Kevin Durant. However, it did not materialise into anything substantial.

They were also said to be interested in DeMar DeRozan, but he eventually signed with the Sacramento Kings.

As a result, it felt as if the Heat stood still while others became stronger over the summer. The franchise appears to be expecting for better outcomes if their roster can stay healthy.

One recent move appears to have left many Heat supporters dissatisfied with the situation and decisions made by the team.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that free agent Tyus Jones has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the Phoenix Suns.

Jones was the market’s top remaining guard, but the Heat were in no position to compete for his services.

Barry Jackson commented on X: “While Tyus Jones eventually took 3.3 million with the Suns, the Heat were unable to do so while remaining under the second apron. They could have avoided signing Love or Bryant and hoped that a player like Jones would be forced to take a far lower salary later, but they prized Love and Bryant. The Heat inquired about Jones before acquiring Rozier.

The post’s comments section was filled with dissatisfied Heat fans who questioned several of the franchise’s moves.

Jones is coming off a strong season with the Washington Wizards. In 66 games during the 2023-24 season, he averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds. He also shot 48.9% from the field and 41.4% from three-point range.

Someone like Jones, especially on a $3.3 million contract, would have made a fantastic addition to the Heat roster. However, they did not place themselves in a position to make a move.

Olympics: Dwyane Wade Reacts To Accurate Cheryl Miller Comparison

It is reasonable to say that former Miami Heat great shooting guard Dwyane Wade is not well-versed in broadcasting. Nonetheless, he is having pleasure covering Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics for NBC alongside Noah Eagle.

Wade appeared to confess that calling games from the broadcast booth isn’t his strong suit when he agreed to a funny tweet on X (previously Twitter) comparing him to the famous Cheryl Miller.

“I am having fun. “I’m not sure what I’m doing, but I’m having fun,” Miller stated in the video while guiding the WNBA All-Stars in a recent game against the US women’s Olympic team.

“Yooo “The accuracy,” Wade wrote in a post.

Fans praise Dwyane Wade for his job calling Team USA vs. Serbia.

Perhaps Wade was just being humble, as many fans believed he did an excellent job in the Team USA-Serbia game.

“Yet a million times better than listening to Reggie Miller!”

“You were good!! I overused a few phrases, but that’s okay. It’s wonderful to hear from someone who has been there and done that.

“Not gonna lie I enjoy your commentary”

“You did okay, though! “You should become a WNBA commentator.”

“You performed an excellent job. Eagle and Wade are a strong broadcasting team.”

Wade knows what it’s like to play—and win—in the Olympics.

His first experience of Olympic action came in 2004, when Team USA won a bronze medal. Wade, on the other hand, earned a gold medal with the Redeem Team in Beijing in 2008.

In the game he and Eagle covered, Team USA defeated Serbia 110-84, with LeBron James and Kevin Durant leading the attack. James scored 21 points, while Durant added 23 points off the bench.
