In today’s DNVR Buffs Podcast, RK and Jake talk about the most recent recruiting news out of Boulder and provide an update on the recruitment of 2025 five-star quarterback Julian Lewis. The next week, the boys began drafting “My Guys” in preparation for Colorado’s fall camp. who, among many other things, will be the belle of autumn camp this year.

In Week 1, a national CFB writer projects that Ndsu will cause style problems for Colorado football, and Bison will defeat the Buffs.

The Saturday Blitz Frank Sciarroni believes that in their Week 1 meeting in Boulder, North Dakota State’s methodical style will provide Deion Sanders’ Colorado football program with enough fits to upset the Buffs.

“Talent wise Colorado is better, but I could very well see them overlooking the Bison and beginning their season with a loss,” Sciarroni stated. “Many may also recall when NDSU visited Iowa in 2016 and defeated the Hawkeyes, who were ranked 13th.

Deion Sanders might've backed out of NDSU-Colorado football matchup if he had say

The contest will include notable variations in play styles that could be a challenge for the Buffs. While NDSU is renowned for being physical, winning at the line of scrimmage, and controlling the game with their run-based offense, Colorado is more spectacular when it comes to pace and moving the ball through the air.”

Seven players on the Bison squad were considered prospects when they entered college. Under Craig Bohl, North Dakota State became an FCS powerhouse. Under Chris Klieman and Matt Entz, the Missouri Valley Conference has seen championship (and NFL draft) returns. Folsom Field will host Tim Polasek’s debut on August 29.

With Colorado’s football defeat against North Dakota State, Deion Sanders can be “laughed out of college football,” according to A to Z Sports. Zach Ragan thinks that if the +8.5 underdog Bison upsets the Buffs in Week 1 on CU’s own field, Coach Prime might be laughed out of collegiate football.

Before stating, “Sanders and the Buffaloes will get absolutely trashed on social media if the Buffaloes somehow lose to North Dakota State to open the 2024 season, it’s going to create a media firestorm unlike anything Colorado football has ever seen before,” Ragan began. One of the largest victory laps in sports history will please Sanders’ detractors. “College football will laugh Coach Prime out of it.”

While everyone speaks about how Shedeur and Shilo Sanders’ NFL careers could help Coach Prime return to the pros, few have asked if Deion might completely reevaluate this position in light of a difficult season.

Sanders might be more likely to retire than to transfer to a different university or enter the NFL. It would appear that losing to North Dakota State would set things in motion in that way.
