You might remember that quite a few Ole Miss football players did not take part in the less-than-serious Burning Man spring game event, which included a flag football exhibition, a dunk contest, hot dog stuffing in faces, and strength tests.
In order to be healthy for August practice, the majority of the players missed the heated action due to injury recuperation. Among them was Juice Wells, a transfer receiver from South Carolina who fractured his foot during the 2023 season and never fully recovered.
There were worries that he might not be ready to play when Ole Miss’ 2024 season began because of how difficult his recovery has been. But Jaxson Dart said to Jake Thompson of The Ole Miss Spirit last month that Wells’ rehabilitation was progressing nicely and that he loved the way Wells was moving.
Wells used Instagram on Tuesday to provide visual proof of Dart’s evaluation for everyone.
Is he cleared to go for August practice based on this video? The formal response is “who knows”! Instagram is here! However, the feelings are telling us that he will eventually make a comeback.
We ain’t do basic here, so Lane Kiffin’s response to the video went beyond simply providing LFG comments or the big side-eye emoji.
Rather, Kiffin changed the soundtrack and uploaded the video again on Wednesday.

You nuts for this one, Lane, to paraphrase Jay-Z during his interview with Rick Rubin on “99 Problems.”
Even though college football coaches aren’t known for their technological acumen, I think Kiffin assembled this on his own, without the assistance of a staff member who “knows computers and stuff.”
Did Kiffin download “Theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey” illegally? Who can say?
Fans from South Carolina naturally went #madonline and #madirl. I’m not sure whether that has anything to do with Kiffin’s trolling or is just another method for them to vent their resentment over these teams being their opponents in Shane Beamer’s third year:
Furman
Mississippi State
Jacksonville State
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
And six out of their seven losses involved two or more possessions. However, there’s more!
In Year 4 of Shane Beamer’s tenure, they swap out the SEC East schedule for a 2024 schedule that includes LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M in addition to Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Missouri.
The under on 5.5 wins seems PRETTY GOOD, as I said in February. My major argument is that, while it makes sense that they would be a little grumpy, no amount of “Sandstorm” will make things any better.
