John Force, a 16-time NHRA drag racing champion, is recovering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) following a severe crash at over 300 mph during the Virginia Nationals on June 23, 2024.

Initially placed in the trauma intensive care unit, he has since been moved to a neurological intensive care unit. Force’s recovery has been slow but promising, as he has started to follow commands and recognize family members.
