SO SAD: Alabama head coach kalen Kalen DeBoer announced his departure today.

For Alabama basketball fans, projected rankings and NCAA Tournament bracket projections are more entertaining than ever, even if they will undoubtedly alter hundreds of times between now and college basketball’s Selection Sunday.

Nate Oats’ program rose to elite prominence when the Alabama Crimson Tide made their first-ever Final Four, and Crimson Tide supporters are adoring it.

Eleven SEC teams are now listed in Rothstein’s current Top 45. Alabama Basketball is ranked No. 2, same as it was a few weeks ago. Auburn is still the second-best SEC team, ranked No. 11. Texas A&M, ranked No. 12, is the only other SEC team whose position remained unchanged. The Arkansas Razorbacks, who were ranked No. 31 earlier, shot up to No. 13. Florida dropped from 17th to 19th place. The Tennessee Vols fell from No. 18 to No. 21, dropping even worse. Texas fell from No. 2 to No. 29. No. 39 went to Mississippi State, No. 42 went to Georgia, No. 43 went to Kentucky, and No. 44 went to Ole Miss.
