With a nine-run first inning, Alabama softball dominates the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional.

In order to get to the NCAA Tournament Super Regionals, Alabama and Southeastern Louisiana played a match for eight innings on Saturday before the Crimson Tide offense finally found its footing.

After a five-run explosion, UA scored nine more runs to start the game on Sunday, defeating Southeastern to cap off an unbeaten weekend. The top-seeded Tennessee Volunteers (in Knoxville) or the host University of Alabama (Virginia) will take on the No. 14 Crimson Tide (36-17, 10-14 SEC).To advance to the NCAA Tournament Super Regionals, Alabama and Southeastern Louisiana played a complete eight innings of ball before the Crimson Tide offense finally got going on Saturday. After scoring five runs in the game on Sunday, UA added nine more to wrap out an unbeaten weekend.

Four RBI were scored by sophomore Kenleigh Cahalan. Jocelyn Briski, a freshman, was dominant in the circle again after coming close to pitching a no-hitter on Friday. Jaala Torrence completed the 12-2 victory in five innings after she had tossed four innings and allowed two runs.
