Ross Chastain plans to compete in races at…
Chastain’s original plan was to participate in five NASCAR Truck Series races this season. He had a previous start at the Circuit of the Americas in March, thus this will be his second of the season. In that race, Chastain came in sixth place.
In addition, Chastain plans to compete in races at Indianapolis Raceway Park in August, Pocono in July, and North Wilkesboro in May.
In a news release earlier this year, Chastain stated, “I love coming to race in the Truck Series.” “I am appreciative of Al Niece and all the staff at Niece Motorsports for giving me the opportunity to drive these Chevrolets.
“We’re going to try our hardest to go out and fight for an Owner’s Championship and win races. To be able to bring that home to Al Niece would mean a lot to me.
Ross Chastain was involved in a last-lap collision with William Byron in one of his most recent outings.
As Byron drove into Chastain’s back end on the last lap, dropping the No. 1 from a top five finish to a tough area, Kevin Harvick was in the pits and had an amazing view of the action. The former NASCAR champion spoke in-depth about his observations during the most recent episode of Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour.
“Observing it from the first angles we displayed, it appeared as though the No. 24 team simply spun the No. 1 team out,” Harvick said. Then, upon closer inspection, it appears that the top player may have tightened up off the corner and lowered himself in an attempt to, you know, position himself.
