TALLAHASSEE — Roydell Williams, a talented running back target for Florida State who entered the NCAA Transfer Portal a week ago from Alabama, committed to Florida State on Saturday after a two-day official visit in Tallahassee.

Williams, who is originally from Hueytown, Ala. and attended Hueytown High School, became an immediate target for the Seminoles when he entered the transfer portal last Friday. The Seminoles have added versatile athlete Jaylin Lucas, a transfer from Indiana, and he is listed as a running back, but the 5-foot-10, 214-pound Williams provides a different skillset that the Seminoles would like to add to their running back room.
