Despite their rapid rise to the top of the NL East, the Atlanta Braves have encountered a major roadblock.

Prior to the Braves’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday afternoon, the team reported that ace pitcher Spencer Strider of the team had damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow based on a recent MRI.

According to Atlanta, Strider “will be further evaluated by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, (Texas), at a date yet to be determined.”
