So sad: Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love have made a statement today after….

NFL free agency opened a few weeks ago, but after the initial few days, it cooled off. That being said, a former Packer has chosen to forego town, and there are still a few excellent players available.

Tight end Josiah Deguara is signing a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.

Deguara is not the only Titletown player to move to Jacksonville. On March 11, Darnell Savage, a safety, signed a three-year contract worth up to $21 million, with a guaranteed $12.5 million.

Deguara intends to move to Florida to be with his old teammate. The 2020 NFL Draft saw the selection of the Cincinnati native in the third round.

Draft analysts pointed to Deguara as a willing blocker with a wide receiving radius who can support quarterbacks.

Since joining the league, the blocking has been excellent, but the receiving hasn’t been up to par. The 27-year-old has only had eight catches last year but has 47 grabs for 436 yards and two touchdowns in his four seasons with the Packers. He’ll offer toughness and physicality to Jacksonville’s ground game.

Though they have so far made excellent offseason acquisitions, the Packers still need to acquire a few players to increase their chances of winning the Super Bowl. At +2200, Green Bay has the ninth-best chances to win the championship in 2024, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
