TALLAHASSEE — Orlando (Fla.) Jones four-star wide receiver Vernell Brown III was expected at Florida State on Saturday for Legacy Weekend, but instead made his way to town a bit early walking into the second spring practice for the Seminoles on Thursday afternoon.
Immediately upon making his way into the practice fields, he met up with FSU quarterback commitment Tramell Jones Jr., a 7-on-7 teammate, and was watching the 1-on-1 portion of practice between pass catchers and members of the secondary.

Brown III was a two-way player for Jones, while also being a major contributor as a return man. He caught 70 passes for 1,363 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense while scoring four times on special teams (three punt returns and a kickoff return).
