As NFL Free Agency continues, the dust has been settling, but the Arizona Cardinals have lost a defensive and special teams player.

KPRC 2 Free agent linebacker Ezekiel Turner is joining the Brock Purdy an NFC West rival of the Cardinals, according to Houston NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Turner was third in the NFL in terms of total special teams tackles (16) during his first season. The native of Maryland was named to the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie Team in recognition of his efforts on special teams.

The 6-foot-2, 214-pound player missed two months of action due to a shoulder injury that occurred on October 13, 2021.

Free agent linebacker Mack Wilson was recently signed by the Cardinals on Monday, but there were no assurances that Turner

Monday, and there was no assurance that this acquisition would result in Turner’s return.

Turner will now be a part of San Francisco’s already strong defensive core, which is trying to get back on track after losing Super Bowl LVIII. The 49ers would receive a player that can be counted on when he accepts the same job that he did in Arizona.
