The Flyers continued to leak defensively in a 6-5 loss Saturday night to the Bruins at TD Garden.

Boston scored three goals in the opening 4:04 of the third period, turning a 2-2 game on its head.

Twice, John Tortorella’s team narrowed the gap to one, but they were unable to pull off the upset. Following his two-game ban, Tortorella returned to the bench.

Joel Farabee led the Flyers (34-26-8) with two goals. Morgan Frost, Nicolas Deslauriers, and Ryan Poehling all scored goals, and Owen Tippett ended with three assists.

The Flyers are giving up goals at an alarming pace because they are thin on the back end. The Flyers have gone 2-3-0 without their old second defensive tandem of Nick Seeler (hurt) and Sean Walker (traded), who allowed 22 goals (4.40 per game).
