Benji Marshall hasn’t even presided over an NRL game as head coach, yet questions have been raised about whether he is putting in the necessary effort to succeed in the role.

On Saturday, Marshall’s Tigers will play the Raiders in Canberra to begin the season.

This week, Dean Ritchie of The Daily Telegraph wrote a column regarding Marshall’s unconventional coaching style and its potential for success. On Wednesday night, Ritchie and the NRL 360 panel discussed the subject.

“I didn’t intend to bag Benji in the fair dinkum stakes, but I did want to pose a query. Could this rock star be the one to transform coaching? Does he lack the necessary hours to be a successful coach? stated Ritchie.
