Auburn, Alabama – The Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 13 Auburn Tigers will battle for their last regular season game at 6:30 PM EST. With a 12-5 conference record (23-7 overall), the Tigers are tied for second place in the SEC and are favored by 14.5 points. With a 6-11 conference record, the 16-14 Bulldogs are tied for 11th place in the SEC with Arkansas.

 

 

 

When Auburn and Georgia last faced off in Athens on February 24 of this year, the Tigers easily prevailed, 97-76. Auburn never trailed after jumping up to a 9-7 lead in less than three minutes. The game was close twice for the Dawgs: 60-57 with 1:49 remaining and 61-64 with 9:29 remaining. However, Auburn held off the UGA comeback and outscored the Dawgs 52-42 in the second half to win the game. With 25 points, sophomore guard Chad Baker-Mazara led the Tigers; freshman guard Aden Holloway scored 15, junior guard Chaney Johnson and junior forward Johni Broome each scored 16. Along with her 13 rebounds, Broome led Baker-Mazara with her four assists. With eighteen points, graduate student guard Noah Thomasson led the Dawgs; he was followed

the Tigers with 25 points; freshman guard Aden Holloway scored 15, junior guard Chaney Johnson scored 16, and junior forward Johni Broome scored 15. Along with her 13 rebounds, Broome led Baker-Mazara with her four assists. Graduate student center Russell Tchewa and guard Noah Thomasson led the Dawgs with 16 and 18 points, respectively. Freshman guard Silas Demary Jr. and guard Noah Thomasson were next. Tchewa, who pulled down seven rebounds, was essential to UGA’s defensive strategy.
