Research Medical Center reports that among those who required amputations after receiving treatment for frostbite were Chiefs supporters who braved record-breaking low temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium in January.

According to Dr. Megan Garcia, a burn physician specialist, about thirty patients received treatment at Research Medical Center for injuries sustained during the persistently bitterly cold circumstances in January. The hospital could not provide a precise number of spectators for the January 13 Wild Card game versus the Miami Dolphins, which was the coldest Chiefs game ever and the fourth coldest NFL game ever.

After experimenting with costly band-aids at left tackle in recent years, the Kansas City Chiefs might finally have the answer to safeguard Patrick Mahomes’ blindside.

Mahomes was sacked 27 times in the 2023 season, despite winning his third Super Bowl and second in as many seasons.
Luckily for the Chiefs, Tyron Smith of the Dallas Cowboys, an All-Pro, is about to become a free agent and may be the offensive line anchor general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid have been searching for.

Smith is rated as the Kansas City Chiefs’ best offseason fit among free agents by CBS Sports.

According to Jared Dubin, “As soon as rumors started to circulate that Smith would not be coming back to Dallas, I wrote this one in pen.” If that’s the case, his ending up in Kansas City makes much too much sense. Although the Chiefs acquire a superior offensive tackle to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blind side, he might still go for the highly wanted Super Bowl ring.
Smith joining the offensive line may make Kansas City the first club in Super Bowl history to win three in a row. Smith is currently enjoying his best career. Given that the Cowboys are currently over $4 million over the cap, Dallas may take this into consideration.
