Georgia football boasts a number of exceptional quarterbacks. Among the best quarterbacks in college football history include Fran Tarkenton, Eric Zier, David Greene, D.J. Shockley, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Murray, and Stetson Bennett.

They have to be among the all-time greats, at the absolute least. Carson Beck hopes to join that group this year by having yet another outstanding year and perhaps winning a national title.

Beck may immediately ascend to the top of the list of all-time greats with that.

Beck hopes to build on his fantastic season from the previous year. In addition to being a candidate for the Heisman Trophy, ESPN has rated him the top college football quarterback.

With 3,941 throwing yards last season, Beck led the SEC and placed third nationally. He also had the fourth-highest completion rate (72%), among all passers.

It makes reasonable that he would rank among the nation’s best quarterbacks given those stats.
