Isaiah Thomas is all too familiar with the marathon that is the NBA journey.

According to rumors that surfaced on Tuesday, the former point guard for the Sacramento Kings will be joining the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz’s G-League affiliate, in an attempt to make a comeback to the NBA. The report simply indicated that Thomas is hoping to push for a spot on an NBA team that is getting close to the postseason, without confirming when he will make his debut in 2024.

Isaiah Thomas, 35, has played in the NBA for 11 years and has been selected to the All-Star squad twice. The Kings selected “IT” with the final choice in the 2011 NBA draft. He would spend three years in Sacramento, where he would win over many fans.

Following that, Thomas would play for the Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, and Cleveland Cavaliers before circling the league.

His best season was in Boston, as he led the Celtics squad and averaged 28.9 points per game. For his accomplishments, he was named an All-NBA candidate. Thomas has a lifetime 17.7 points per game and 4.8 assists.

The Washington native participated in 22 games during his final NBA season (2021–2022). The next season was his last with the G-League.
