With 1:20 remaining in the third, Draisaitl scored his 31st goal of the year to knot the score at one. He scored a one-time goal to close out the match after Connor McDavid’s crossing feed.
Boston was only allowed five shots in the third quarter and none in overtime by Edmonton.
For the Oilers, Stuart Skinner made 25 saves while Evan Bouchard contributed two assists. McDavid’s point streak now stands at 12 games after he added two assists.
The Bruins, who lost 19-7-6 at home, took the ice to another round of jeers.
Boston’s Pavel Zacha scored 4:26 into the third quarter. He scored via a one-time slap shot after Danton Heinen’s crossing pass.
Linus Ullmark, the goalie for the Bruins, stopped 24 shots.
In the closing seconds of regulation, Edmonton had a chance to win, but Ullmark stopped Warren Foegele’s rebound effort.
Late in the third, McDavid had a chance to score.
despite Trent Frederic’s persistent pestering, he managed to score on Ullmark. McDavid’s point streak consists of two goals and 26 assists.
In the second, Skinner had to stop twelve shots, including a one-timer from David Pastrnak.
During Edmonton’s first power play opportunity, Ullmark made a huge save for Boston, denying McDavid a rebound effort well outside the crease early in the second. Late in the second, McDavid pounced on another loose puck and fired a fast shot that Ullmark glove-swiped out of the air.
