For $13 million in 1977, York’s late father, construction magnate Edward DeBartolo Sr., purchased the team for his son, Edward DeBartolo Jr. With a current valuation of $5.2 billion, the franchise is the Forbes lists the sixth-most valuable team in the NFL.
