UNBELIEVABLE: Buffalo bills QB and WR announced there departure today…

The Buffalo Bills are preparing additional actions to reduce their salary budget burden.

According to an insider, the team will be parting ways with veteran running back Nyheim Hines, which could free them nearly $4.6 million.

On March 3, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Bills intended to release Hines at a later time that same week. After sustaining a ruptured ACL in an off-season boating accident, the running back and kick return specialist was sidelined for the whole 2023 season. Nevertheless, he had stated his intention to rejoin the squad for the next campaign.

Due to the trade, the Bills’ backfield is essentially barren, which has raised rumors that the team would sign a free agent to bring in another veteran.

As the new league year drew near, the Bills were more than $40 million above the salary cap. However, with Hines’ anticipated release and offensive lineman Connor McGovern’s contract restructure, the team was able to free up over $3.7 million in cap space.

After suffering a season-ending injury in July’s accident, Hines’ future with the Bills had become questionable. Following that, the agent for Hines posted a mysterious message on X that seemed to demand that the team negotiate the running back’s pay.
