Sander runs 40 on March 1. Ja’Tavion Sanders, a former tight end for the Texas Longhorns, is anticipated to be among the first picks at his position in the 2024 NFL Draft.

He completed his 40-yard dash on Friday night in Indianapolis as part of the NFL Scouting Combine, which is helping to further raise his status.

On his first try, Sanders scored an unofficial 4.74, and on his second try, he scored a 4.69.

SWEAT FLIES, FEBRUARY 29 T’Vondre Sweat, a defensive tackle for the Texas Longhorns, hinted on Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis that he would surprise people with his 40-yard dash time.

“I’m simply a large man,” Sweat remarked. “I think many people will be surprised when they see me move tomorrow. A lot of people get scared of the numbers and all that.”

He accomplished this on Thursday afternoon, running a 5.27 on his first try. He said no to running again.

Sweat tested on Thursday in additional measurements as well, achieving an 8′ 2″ broad jump and a 26-inch vertical.
