JUST NOW: Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy set to….
JJ McCarthy, the quarterback from Michigan, is a popular pick in the NFL draft. The quarterback who won the National Title has the physical makeup and winning history to be a star at the next level.
His stock might even be higher if McCarthy had attended a school that wasn’t known for having a dominant defense and a physical running game.
But McCarthy probably won’t have the luxury of starting for a club that is the overwhelming favorite to win a Super Bowl in the NFL, at least not right away.
McCarthy will need to grow, and it is crucial—as it is for quarterbacks of all ages—to have a legitimately great receiver to pass to.
During one of the several interviews this week, CBS Sports questioned JJ McCarthy about the three NFL receivers he would be most thrilled to throw to. Two of McCarthy’s selections were expected, but his third selection is unexpected considering the receiver is an Ohio State Buckeye and is well-known in the league.
