SO SAD: Pittsburgh Steelers lost 2 key players today and….

The Chicago Bears are anticipated to trade quarterback Justin Fields and retain the top overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, despite no formal announcement to that effect.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, and Las Vegas Raiders are the three teams who have reportedly “expressed some level of interest” in 24-year-old signal-caller Brandon Fields. Fields is likely to have a number of suitors.

So far, Bears general manager Ryan Poles has kept things close to the vest. He implied that he doesn’t want to sell the Ohio State alum to the highest bidder by implying that Fields’ input on where he ends up will be taken into account.

It all depends on the opportunities that present themselves,” Poles stated to ESPN. “I want to treat Justin correctly too, if that’s the path we take. Gray is not something anyone wants to live in; I know it’s uncomfortable. That’s not a scenario I would want to be in either. Therefore, we will gather the data, act as soon as we can, [but] we won’t rush things, and we’ll see what presents itself and what’s best for the company.

As reported by NBC Sports Chicago, the Falcons have reached out to the Bears regarding Fields’ availability in addition to merely expressing interest. It is anticipated that Atlanta will upgrade at quarterback. Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke have contracts expiring in 2024.
