Executive vice president of the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen Jones, responded to a query concerning the team’s culture during the NFL combine after the team’s heartbreaking first-round loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round.
As previously reported by Sean Labar on GH, standout pass rusher Micah Parsons recently expressed his desire to alter the culture of the Contract: “It’s all about me. We let things slide too often because we know we’re good. I want to change the culture and the identity of what the Cowboys are. Cut out the extra stuff, I just want people to lock in for 22 weeks. Seven months can change your life. And I’m ready.
Stephen Jones cannot comment on the matter, but Parsons and his teammates aren’t complaining about the culture without reason; the issue most likely originates at the top with an owner who is more concerned with team marketing than winning.
