SO SAD:  The Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez we not be playing next March due to the training injury and….

Because of Pau Torres’ injury, Aston Villa will receive a huge boost as the defender may play against Luton Town on Saturday, per sources.

Unai Emery stated that Torres, 27, experienced a “small pain” and that’s why he was substituted out of Villa’s 4-2 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Emery stated, “We made the decision not to take a chance with him.”

Although he didn’t feel particularly hurt, he was becoming worse with time.

The “initial prognosis is understood to be positive” about Torres’ injury, according to Express & Star, and Villa are “cautiously optimistic” that their defender will be available for this weekend’s trip to Luton.

At halftime, Calum Chambers made his first Premier League debut of the year, taking Torres’ place.

Due to injuries, Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa, and Diego Carlos are presently unavailable for Villa.
