Unbelievable: Aston villa midfielder John MCginn and Ezri Konsa are acting faster to….

This summer, Aston Villa will not extend their loan agreement with Nicolo Zaniolo, sources have informed Football Insider.

Despite arriving on a loan-to-buy deal with a “compulsory purchase option” if certain requirements are completed, it is thought that the Italian will return to parent club Galatasaray at the end of the current campaign.

According to reliable sources who spoke with Football Insider, Villa chiefs believe Zaniolo won’t have a long-term impact at the Champions League-chasing team because of his past and current injury history.

He had a groin ailment when he arrived at Villa Park, and since the 2020–21 season began, he has missed 105 games in total, the most of which were while he was playing for Serie A team Roma.

The 24-year-old has fallen in the standings in recent months, after receiving frequent starts in the Premier League and Europa Conference League after his debut.

He last received a league start under manager Unai Emery on December 3 in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
