JUST NOW: Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery happy for the record signing and….
In order to give Moussa Diaby, Villa’s record purchase, greater consistency in the Premier League, Unai Emery has pledged to be patient.
After joining from Bayer Leverkusen for £43 million last summer, Diaby had a strong start, but he has struggled with form and has started the last four games for Villa on the bench.
The 24-year-old will eventually find his footing, Emery is sure.
“There is still work to be done on the adaptation of Moussa Diaby,” he clarified. For me, what matters most is how he is feeling, how he is working, and how he is improving.
“I try to remain consistent and be calm even when we are not performing the way we would like to. I chat with him a lot. This is how he thinks. With him, I’m not rushing to obtain it.
