BRAKING NEWS: Former top bama QB returns back and…

In the secondary, the University of Alabama football team identified a successor for Caleb Downs.

Former Michigan safety Keon Sabb has enrolled for the Crimson Tide and selected Alabama via the NCAA transfer site, according to a report released on Monday night by Aaron Suttles of Yea Alabama, the official NIL organization for Crimson Tide athletics.

The Wolverines won both the Big Ten Championship and the College Football Playoff National Championship last season thanks in large part to Sabb, a rising junior.

In the Rose Bowl Game, he helped Michigan defeat Alabama 27–20 in overtime. In 2023, Sabb racked up 28 tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions, one of which was returned for a score. Originally from New Jersey, Sabb participated in 18 games for the Wolverines during his tenure.

He still has to develop at safety, having started four games at the position.

The 6-foot-1, 208-pound player can play in the Crimson Tide’s 4-2-5 “Swarm Defense” because of his stature, ball abilities, and coverage ability. Along with Malachi Moore, Sabb brings big-game experience to Alabama’s secondary.

Due to the impending NFL Draft, the Tide lost Terrion Arnold, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Jaylen Key. A number of names were also listed as transfers, including Trey Amos, Jake Pope, Jameer Grimsley (a four-star athlete), Caleb Downs, Antonio Kite, and Dezz Ricks.
