Travis Kelce praises the Chiefs’ behind-the-scenes tactician for their overtime strategies in their Super Bowl 58 triumph over the 49ers.

In Super Bowl 58, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers with great style, displaying extraordinary poise under duress. The overtime regulations were one of the game’s main focal points.

The 49ers chose to go for the opening possession after winning the coin toss. But a lot of their players didn’t seem to know about the new playoff regulations that were implemented in 2022.

Travis Kelce, who co-hosts the podcast “New Heights” with his brother Jason Kelce, gave credit to Mike Frazier, the Chiefs’ coordinator of statistical analysis, for his rigorous work informing the team on postseason rules regarding overtime and tactical maneuvers.”Mike Frazier is the real deal,” said Kelce. “He carefully describes a range of scenarios, such as pivotal points, situations at the end of the half and game, and adjustments to the rules. Every time he speaks to the group, “Fraaaaz!” resounds in unison.

Kelce went on to say that Frazier made sure the squad was well-prepared by carefully going over a variety of fictitious scenarios with them.

“We went into overtime rules every single week during the playoffs,” Kelce continued. “Frazier was honest and explained how we handled each situation. As a result, everyone in the team understood our tactics and how to handle any obstacles.
