SAD NEWS; Philadelphia Head coach has been sentenced to prison after he was accused of ..

By the end of the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers were one of the busiest teams of the day. Daryl Morey executed multiple deals to reshape the roster for the final stretch of the regular season.

Among the most notable things the Sixers did on deadline day was acquire Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers. While some might consider this a small move, others feel it was the best deal of this year’s deadline.

With about 30 games to go in the regular season, the people at Bleacher Report put together a list of bold predictions for the rest of the year. Among the things listed was that Hield was going to be the best addition of the trade deadline.

Despite having to get adjusted on the fly, Hield has managed to have an immediate impact for the Sixers. He has broken the 20-point mark in each of his first four games, and is showing his effectiveness as a floor spacer. In his most recent outing, Hield notched 22 points and 10 assists on 53.3% shooting against the Miami Heat.

Hield has been connected to the Sixers for years now, and he is showing why. His presence will be even more valuable if Joel Embiid is able to return from the knee injury he suffered against the Warriors.

As a dominant big man who likes to attack defenses in the mid range, Embiid needs spacing around him to operate properly. The Sixers were a low-volume three-point shooting team, but that is expected to change moving forward. Having someone who isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep should do wonders for Embiid.

Along with his fit next to Embiid, Hield has always thrived next to Tyrese Maxey in the backcourt. Since both guards can create and score on all three levels, they are a tough challenge for opposing defenses.

At the end of this season, Hield will become an unrestricted free agent. If he continues to play like this, the Sixers will have no choice but to re-sign him in the offseason.
