Former Bengals Assistant Coach Reuniting With Mike Zimmer, Joining Cowboys’ Staff
Cincinnati — Mike Zimmer will be joined in Dallas by Paul Guenther, a former defensive coordinator for the Bengals.
In 2014, Guenther took over as defensive coordinator for the Bengals from Zimmer, having served as an assistant to Marvin Lewis for almost ten years. He will now coach alongside Zimmer for the Cowboys.
The defensive run game coordinator will be Guenther. Earlier this month, the Cowboys announced Zimmer as their new defensive coordinator.
During the 2021 season, Guenther served as Zimmer’s senior defensive assistant in Minnesota.
