JUST NOW: blues have finally sing pavel buchnevich and……

Teams will probably wait to make any significant trades until after the All-Star Break this season to allow players to spend time with their families. Nevertheless, the trade deadline is drawing up, and the St. Louis Blues are predicted to be among the teams that divest players most during the current campaign. Doug Armstrong, the general manager, has put some players up for trade in order to achieve this goal.

The 32 Thoughts podcast’s Elliotte Friedman says that Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich has drawn interest. Friedman continues by saying that it wouldn’t be that hard to trade Buchnevich. Not that the Blues are actively trying to trade him, though they might have a high asking price.

Buchnevich, a 28-year-old Russian left-shot forward from Cherepovets, is a member of the Blues roster. The New York Rangers selected him 75th overall in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He is 6-foot-1 and weighs 196 pounds. His total career points through 483 games are 377, with 152 goals and 225 assists—an average of 0.78 points per game.

With 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points through 46 games this season, Buchnevich is tied for the club lead in goals and ranks second in terms of points behind Robert Thomas.

Buchnevich would probably fetch a huge package back for the Blues in any trade. Being a capable player on both wings, he would be a valuable asset to any side in the competition. The Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers, and Edmonton Oilers are among the teams that might consider acquiring Buchnevich.
