Baron spent the past four years at Tennessee but entered the transfer portal in December after his senior season. He announced on Dec. 16 that he was committing to Ole Miss.

Despite that commitment, Baron reportedly took a visit with Louisville last week, and on Tuesday announced that he’d be suiting up for the Cardinals in 2024.

He’s now the third player to transfer from Tennessee to Louisville since the end of the 2023 season, joining defensive backs Wesley Walker and Tamarion McDonald, the latter of whom was also previously committed to the Rebels.

Last year in Knoxville, Baron recorded 10.5 tackles for loss, and 6.0 sacks, both of which were career highs, across 12 games. He played in 48 games across four years with the Volunteers, registering 13.5 total sacks in his career.
