The Tennessee Vols’ 35-0 annihilation of the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl has generated a lot of buzz as the team approaches the offseason.
Despite having the fourth-best scoring defense in the country at the end of the season, Tennessee’s explosive offense proved too much for Iowa (during what was seen as the Vols’ “down season”).
Quarterback Nico Iamaleava is the main cause of the Vols’ preseason excitement. In the victory over Iowa, the former five-star recruit made his first collegiate start.

Iamaleava didn’t have spectacular stats versus Iowa (he passed for 151 yards and scored four touchdowns), but he shown enough of the skill set that ranked him as the top prospect in the 2023 class
But over the past week, there has been a lot of concern about Tennessee’s offensive line. And that is a worry that might make or break the 2024 season for the Vols.
